  • Reading, understanding and working to correct spec of drawings

  • Working to tight tolerances (within +/- 10 microns)

  • Loading/programming from DXF files

This role is based on a 40 hour week (7.30am until 4.30pm with half hour lunch Monday to Thursday and 7.30am until 1.30pm on a Friday (overtime may be required so we are looking for someone who has a flexible approach to this). Salary will be discussed at interview.

Main Duties

  • Conducting First Article Inspections of high precision component parts

  • Writing & finalising First Article Inspection Reports (this includes data recording)

  • Liaising with other departments as necessary to communicate inspection findings

  • Assisting the Quality Manager with the implementation of AS9100 Rev D

  • Understanding and adhering to customer quality manuals

  • Use of job processing & production control software

  • Measuring of parts on CMM

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience of Inspection within a production environment

  • Ability to read drawings and understand GD&T

  • Previous experience of working with CMM

  • Attention to detail

  • Good understanding of AS9100 requirements
