Today we will be starting our new series '60 Seconds with' with Paul Taylor, one of the directors at RST Engineering to get an understanding of what goes on behind the scenes of a precision engineering company and find out what his roles and responsibilities are.
I am a Director, I manage the CNC Milling Department, am hands-on with CNC programming, and oversee all aspects of the milling operations.
How long have you been working for RST?
31 years, I started at RST in 1994 and became a director along with my brothers in 2003.
What do you most enjoy about being part of RST?
I take great pride in the fact that RST was founded as a family-owned business and has remained that way for nearly 40 years. Being trusted with significant responsibilities and playing a part in building something my family can be proud of is both a privilege but also a constant motivation to keep striving for improvement.
What is your RST Superpower?
My super power would be the ability to take on and successfully machine complex parts that other companies have turned down. I thrive on the challenge of difficult projects and finding solutions.
What is a fun fact about yourself that your teammates might not know?
My fun fact would be I used to play semi-professional football and was only two divisions below the football league.
