This UK premium gun maker wanted to form a partnership with a precision engineering company to jointly produce high-end English over and under shotguns. They needed the manufacture of many highly complex components with very tight tolerances. In addition, they wanted to partner with a business that could help them develop the product design so that a gun can be assembled and finished off in less man hours. As the majority of the parts required operations in all of our departments, the tooling became a key ingredient in moving the part from machine to machine with zero set-up time.

Working in partnership, we produced the parts to higher tolerances, resulting in fewer man-hours on the final build. In total, we produced over 50 parts that would form the barrel and trigger mechanism of the shotgun. All the parts were manufactured using EDM spark erosion and CNC milling and due to the tooling that we created, the parts could move between the processes seamlessly. Our bespoke tooling created for the various components meant they could be manufactured with the highest accuracy and efficiency.
